Your Mississippi Girl

Hi there! I’m Shelby — a 26-year-old reading teacher, proud mom, and lifelong lover of travel. I’m from the charming coastal town of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, where I grew up dreaming big and soaking in the beauty of the Gulf Coast.

I’ve always thrived in new environments, especially when I’m learning something new or meeting new people. I’m an extrovert through and through — energized by connection and driven by curiosity.

One of the biggest joys in my life is my sweet little boy, Walker Grey. He’s my whole world, and one of the reasons I’ve made it a point to travel more often. I want to show him that this world is wide open, and that with enough determination, there’s nothing standing between you and your dreams. As Michael Korda said, “The more you can dream, the more you can do.”

When I’m not planning lessons for my students or throwing a fun party for friends, I’m probably helping my girl Becca plan our next big adventure. I’m a planner at heart, and nothing excites me more than mapping out memories just waiting to be made.

Hello! I’m Becca — a 34-year-old former high school math teacher. Originally from the beautiful coast of Connecticut, I’ve now made my home in the vibrant city of Houston, Texas.

I’m an adventure seeker at heart and love exploring new places, meeting new people, and spending time outdoors. Mountains, meadows, and shores instantly brighten my day. I’m drawn to nature’s beauty but also enjoy discovering cities—big or small.

Having grown up with limited means, it’s become my mission to help fellow adventure seekers experience the incredible world around us. I’m beyond excited to join forces with my amazing travel-loving friend, Shelby, to bring budget friendly adventure into your lives!

How did you come together?

We first met as teens in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. Both passionate about education, our friendship blossomed through shared stories about the day-to-day life of teaching. Bound by a shared love for discovering new places, we’ve formed a wonderful friendship along the way.

With Shelby’s creative spark and Becca’s passion for researching new places, we are here to help you explore the world when the week ends.
